How To Delete the Cache and Cookie Files in Your Web Browser

Occasionally, login problems can be caused by a corrupted cookie file in your web browser. Deleting the cache and cookie files in your web browser and restarting it can often solve the problem and allow you to log in successfully.

  • If you use a browser and/or version not listed above, please contact Customer Service. Be sure to include the browser you use, the version of your browser, and your platform .
  • If you are using an Internet accelerator program or Cookie-blocking program (such as NetSonic, GuardDog, Norton's CrashGuard, or Netcelerator), you must turn it off before accessing your account.
  • Are you behind a firewall? If you are using Zone Alarm or eTrust Personal firewall, you will need to allow third party cookies and remove the check mark in the "remove private header information" box for both www.stanfordalumni.org and secure.postoffice.net.
