How To Restore Your Web Browser's Default Settings

Restoring the default settings in your Microsoft Internet Explorer browser can sometimes resolve access issues.

STEP-BY-STEP SOLUTION

Internet Explorer Users

  1. In your Microsoft Internet Explorer browser, click "Tools" from the top menu.
  2. Click "Internet Options."
  3. Click the "Advanced" tab.
  4. Click the "Restore Defaults" button. The original settings upon installation of your web browser will be restored.

Netscape Users

  1. Go to www.netscape.com.
  2. On the bottom left hand side of the home page under "Tools" click "Browser Central."
  3. You will then be taken to a page which shows the latest version of Netscape available to download. Click on the "Download" button and follow the instructions to install the browser.
