How To Check Your Computer's Security Settings

Certain security programs can interfere with the proper setting of the login cookie when you try to access your account. If you try to log in, but receive page errors (such as "Page Cannot Be Displayed," or "Page Not Found"), please see below.

STEP-BY-STEP SOLUTION

  1. Do you have third party security software installed on your computer, such as an antivirus or personal firewall program? If so, temporarily disable it, then try again to log in. If you are successful, you may have an overly restrictive setting in one of your security programs.
  2. Some programs provide a cookie-blocking feature, where you are prompted each time a web site requests to set a cookie on your local system. If you clicked "block" when prompted by this message, you may have restriced your access to this site. Either consult the manual of the relevant security software or contact the original manufacturer to unblock the SAA site login cookies.

TIPS

  • Some employers block access to certain web sites, particulary e-mail service providers. In rare cases, common e-mail service providers (such as Yahoo, Hotmail, and our USA.net) have been blocked by employers. Usually, the error message is clear in conveying this message. If you encounter an error message such as this, contact your employer for more on such policies, or access your account from your home computer or a local library.
